Terrence E. Maltbia

Dr. Terrence E. Maltbia has over 20 years of professional experience in sales, management and organization development. Prior to forming Organizational Effectiveness Consulting and Training. Terry was Vice President and Organization Development Center of Excellence Leader for Westvaco Corporation where he designed, developed and implemented an integrated set of people practices in support of business strategy. Westvaco Corporation (now MeadWestvaco) is a global producer of paper, packaging and special papers.

Other positions held at Westvaco include Director, Corporate Development and Training; Special Assistant to the Executive Vice President; Organizational Development Consultant; Sales Training and Development Manager; Field Sales Manager; College Relations and Corporate Employment Manager; and Employment Representative. He began his career with Westvaco directly out of college in industrial sales.

Terry has also held consulting positions with The Alexander Group, Delta Consulting and Rath & Strong Management Consultants.

Sample clients include Bowne & Co., Colgate Palmolive, City of Toledo, Oakland University, Grand Valley State University, Pfizer, PSEG, State of Michigan and State of Ohio.

Academic Background
He received both Doctorate and Masters Degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University, with a focus on Adult and Organizational Learning and Organizational Psychology. Terry received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.

Terry teaches research and strategic learning courses for the Department of Organization and Leadership, Teachers College, Columbia University. Dr. Maltbia is an Academy of Human Resource Development’s Malcolm S. Knowles Dissertation of the Year Award Recipient 2001 and received a Cutting Edge Award from the Academy in 2004 for his research in diversity. He is a member of Kappa Chapter, Kappa Delta, Pi (An International Honor Society in Education).

Terry brings a proven ability to design, develop and implement organizational change and results-oriented learning processes to support the effective execution of business strategy to his consulting engagements. He is skilled at facilitating individual, group and organizational learning and change processes in global and work environments from small to large.
